FAMOUS DREAMS OF ME!

“Oh darling,” a voice said to me.

“Yes who’s there,” I said aloud to myself.

“Me darling, your boyfriend Mick.”

“Oh yeah, Mick can you make me some breakfast please,” I said.

“Yes dear,” said Mick firmly.

“Wake up”, said my sister Kim.

“Uh,” I said softly.  “It’s lunch time plus you have one hour to get ready for Jeff’s birthday.

Hello I am Michelle Catherine Holloway, I am 12 years old, I have a mum, a dad, four brothers & sister:  Nathan;  Jeffery;  Kim;  Phillip;  Michelle (me);  Stephen (all in that order)

I live in Mt. Pritchard  I go to All Saints Catholic Girls College & I’m in year seven.

I play tennis & I’ve played for six years & my dream is to become a professional tennis player.  Yeah laugh all you want.  It’s probably silly but I don’t care what you say because I have a lot of talent even my coaches say that.  Over the six years I have had nine coaches & played at two different parks

Bigge Park I still play at Brenan Park any way

I have to get ready for Feff’s birthday.

I am going to wear a pair of blue flare jeans & a blue halter neck top plus a pair of Adidas casual joggers.  “MICHELLE,” Called my mother.  “Get down here NOW!”  “Uh y-e-s mum,”  “Where is my mobile phone,”  “Where you left it in the big bowl on the wooden cabinet in the lounge room,”  “Thank-you dear.”  As you guessed I danced all night until one o’clock in the morning then I had to go home because I had a really bad stitch for dancing for so long & because I had got a stomach bug.  I had a wonderful dream about my so-called future well me, Michelle Holloway a professional tennis player.  World’s No. 3 becoming world’s No. 1 taking over Serena Williams.   No. 1 – in singles & No. 1-in doubles with Jennifer Capriati along with men’s No 1- Lleyton Hewitt & No. 1 – in doubles with Patrick Rafter.

“WOOH!” said someone from the crowd at the tennis grounds.  “I LOVE YOU MICHELLE,”  said a happy voice.  “I love all of you, you are the best you are the reason why tennis players go on to show the world that each & every country is a good place & are good people to be friends with,”  I said with pride & joy.  “GO M-I-C-H-E-L-L-E.”  “W-O-O-H.”  I played a good game and I won 6-2, 7-5, 6-1.  I versed Jelena Dokic she’s a very good & talented player plus a very nice person once you get to know her.

And over the years I have met Patrick Rafter, Lleyton Hewitt, Jennifer Capriati, martina Hingus, Mark Philloupsis, Pete Sampras & much, much more.

I woke up to go to the toilet then got back to my wonderful dream I signed a few autographs & posters then went back to my split leveled house where I live with my husband Aaron & our two little children, a boy named Lesane & a girl named Madelene.

I go to training every day for two and a half – three and a half hours.  I went to pre-school – primary – high school – college plus I am religious.

“Hey I am Lesane & here’s a poem from my mum’s poem book-

Written with a pen,

Slealed with a kiss,

If you’re my friend please answer this

Are we friends or are we not

You told me once but I forgot

So tell me now and tell me true

So that I can say I am here for you

Of all the friends I’ve ever met you’re the one I wont forget

And if I die before you do I’ll go to heaven and wait for you.”

“Here’s another one for all of you people – are you a star because to me you are.”

“Lesane get out of mum’s fake dream,”  says Madelene.

I start to cry as my dreams go by I wished to be a professional tennis player but I just turned out to be a fake.  I wish, I wish it were so true & all my dreams could come true.  Go away all who come near don’t need your comfort for I have no dream left to share.

I dream this dream every night, just for it to come true would be a delight family’s support all the way I’ll be just like a real professional tennis player although you can’t give up dreams just because of someone else & what they say even if it gets to you just try to ignore them says mum but what if they live with you.

Am I going mental I am talking to myself.  No don’t let it get to you it’s just a dream WAKE-UP MICHELLE!!!

Well you’ve heard my dream now laugh it up have a good time & do you think I care I was little then but I am not little now I believed in myself like most people should.  I got a good education believed I could make it made it so far till I grew up I am not that old now to realize now I should of kept my dream going.  It meant the world to me but now it’s ancient history.

I am thirty-five now & I do have children  named Lesane & Madelene, I am married to Aaron & I live in a split leveled house.  Most of my dream had come true except the part I mostly loved being a professional tennis player.  I still do train & it does bring back memories but it’s what I love that pulls me through.  I still dream that very same dream every single night & as for me I am a hairdresser one of my other dreams.  I always loved my hair & still do but I used to get frustrated on how to wear my hair & when I had a good idea it never turned out right but you’ll have to read about that in another one of my books.

 BLURB

A twelve year old girl dreams of being a professional tennis player and would dream about it every night.

But when she turns thirty-five she realized she had never stopped believing in herself.

To find out more just read the book.
